I'm back! / De regreso!

After one year, I'm back to my hometown Oaxaca and I couldn't be happier. I needed the slow pace contrasting fast paced New York where I live. I needed the sun, the earth, the colorful warm culture and rich food this city offers.

I hope to share my trip with you and since I started a blog last summer that was very succesful: www.horadelrelax.blogspot.mx I'm motivated to do another one this year thanks to the number of readers. I hope you like it !

Despues de un año, estoy de regreso en mi ciudad natal Oaxaca y no podría estar mas contenta. Necesitaba el movimiento lento de las cosas contrarestando la veloz ciudad en la que vivo, Nueva York. Necesitaba el sol, la tierra, la cultura cálida y colorida y la rica comida que esta ciudad ofrece.

Oaxacan Wedding!!!!

Oops I did it again, some wedding crashing ! This was the wedding of my friend's friend Ari. A native of Oaxaca married a German guy who loves Oaxaca. We love these international mixes / Boda otra vez! Esta fue la boda de Ari, la amiga de mi amiga. Una Oaxaqueña se casó con un Aleman. Como nos gustan estas bodas internacionales!

Birthday dinner and more / De cumpleaños y mas

And so I celebrated my first birthday in Oaxaca in 20 years. I left the city at 13 and never celebrated my birthday here because usually, I was busy travelling elswhere. This year I came back to the roots, and it felt great to be home. My brother threw a dinner party for me and I was surprised with nice gifts and great food.

Entonces, celebre mi primer cumpleaños en Oaxaca en 20 años. Me fuí de la ciudad a los 13 y nunca celebré mi cumpleaños aqui porque por lo general estaba ocupada viajando en alguna otra parte. Este año he regresado a las raíces y se sintió muy bien el regresar a casa. Mi hermano organizó una cena para mi y fuí sorprendida con regalos bonitos y comida exquisita
